Here on our site you can find information on what we're about and what news and events both past and present effect the Crevasse Moraine Trail System. The CMTA in co-operation with the Mat-Su Borough Parks and Rec. are always looking for more volunteers to help preserve the trail system. This is a unique park and trail system of the Mat-Su Borough in the Palmer/Wasilla area and is open to all non-motorized user groups and individuals to enjoy. Please be courteous to others and do not litter, "Leave no Trace". Keep you buddies mess off the trail when you take him/her for a walk. There will be a poop bag dispenser at the main trail head that is supplied by the Mat-Su Parks and Rec. Wildlife can be found throughout the trail system, please use common sense and do not harass them.

During Spring Breakup the Mat-Su Borough will cordon off the road to the parking areas to keep erosion to a minimum. Please respect the Borough guidelines for park/trail use and report any vandalism you see at the Crevasse Trails.

Map kiosk are located throughout the main intersections of the trail system to know where you're at.

Location

The Crevasse Moraine Trail System can be accessed at mile 2 of the Palmer/Wasilla Highway and Loma Prieta Drive.

From Anchorage, take the Parks Highway turn off to Wasilla. Take the Trunk Road exit and turn right on the Palmer/Wasilla Highway towards Palmer. Turn Right at Loma Prieta Drive and follow the road to the trailhead parking area.
